If you were thinking about nominating yourself for a spot on the AAM Accreditation Commission, it’s not too late! AAM has extended the deadline to Monday, October 7th.
This year’s Nominating Committee is searching for highly experienced museum professionals from a broad and diverse range of expertise areas, career roles, perspectives, and individual backgrounds who are committed to excellence, and are creative, holistic, and critical thinkers. People with experience in history, children’s, science, and culturally specific museums; living collections; and state/city government run museums are specifically sought in this nominations cycle. The committee is also looking for individuals eager to be part of advancing current efforts to better codify how the Accreditation Commission addresses DEAI in its decision-making and application of the standards; and strongly encourages applications from members of underrepresented groups.
